Happy Julius Pipe and the Matter of the Balls
Kuf here. Interdimensional narrator, stuck in Happy Julius Pipe’s mind, observing his drips honestly and without color. Think of me as a historian who would rather be doing anything else.
Now, let’s take a closer look at the shitbag. He is mostly sitting in this episode. An Adirondack chair, a dock, a small American lake, his oldest son somewhere in the water. He will frustrate you. He will make you cringe and scream wild profanities at the page. You will also cheer for him, the way you root for reluctant heroes.
Human. Father. Hero. There is inspiration in there somewhere. I know it.
In the Works
Kuf has identified two more episodes worth your time, assuming Happy cooperates.
A leak in Happy's driveway expands, slowly and inevitably, until it encompasses the emotional infrastructure of American suburbia. Happy is not prepared for any of this.
In the much anticipated but highly inappropriate Danger in Denver, Happy is in town for a friends reunion. A hostile trade organization has other plans. Kuf has reviewed the evidence and cannot recommend this trip. He will be attending regardless.
